For the first time in a Q model, Audi is introducing OLED lighting technology, heralded for its versatility, efficiency and superior visibility. Available as optional equipment, the active lighting technology groups the OLEDs into small, individually controllable segments with a three-dimensional layout producing an impressive light arrangement. In addition, depending on the driving mode, the character of the tail light signature changes automatically when in use.
The OLED rear-light cluster is also equipped with proximity detection, so that if a road user approaches a stationary SQ5 from the rear to within less than two metres, all the OLED segments light up in warning.
