What makes this so special is that it combines the advantages of FSI®FSI®Getting more out of every drop of petrol.FSI® with turbocharging that improves the power characteristics to even greater effect. The 3.0 TFSI quattro develops a hefty 220 kW. It is equipped with an innovative mechanical turbocharging system with intercooler which turns the six-cylinder engine into a compact power plant with moderate fuel consumption. The engine is impressive not only for its peak torque of 440 Nm, but also its torque curve: at least 90 percent of the maximum torque is available across a speed range of 2,900 rpm to 4,500 rpm. Thanks to its highly spontaneous response and exceptional power delivery across the entire speed range, the six-cylinder engine also permits a particularly dynamic driving style. The Audi A6 sedan accelerates from 0 to 100 km/h in 5.5 seconds.
The range of engines for the Audi A6 sedan provides an outstanding choice. For example, the 2.8 FSI with an output of 150 kW, accelerating from 0 to 100 km/h in only 8.1 seconds in combination with the S tronicS tronicFaster gearshifts, sportier driving: the S tronic combines the sporty characteristics of a manual gearbox with the advantages of an automatic.S tronic dual-clutch gearbox and quattro®quattro®Vorsprung durch Technik: quattro® technology stands for permanent power to all four wheels distributed between the front and rear axlesquattro® permanent four-wheel drive. The 2.8 FSI is also available with front-wheel drive and multitronic. All engines of course satisfy the EU5 emission standard.
